We professionally clean & repair all items as much as possible so we rarely sell anything in less than Excellent Condition - See chart below. All major flaws are mentioned in the items description. Once in a while we may miss small flaws such as minor loose seams, tiny holes or very small or faint stains. We are human after all & sometimes flaws can hide in folds & such. Small flaws that are not visible or do not effect the wearing of the item are not mentioned.
Please keep in mind that most of our items are 60 or so years old and will have normal typical vintage general wear from cleaning, age, etc.. unless it's listed as Mint Condition. We want you to be happy so remember, you can always return it.
vintage clothing condition chart - a MUST read!

We try to measure as accurately as possible. Measurments are the fabric when laying flat. Keep in mind you will need to account for comfort in your measurments. The vintage old sizes are not the same as modern sizing. When measuring for fit, please follow these instructions to ensure your measurements will work. We measure items in their unstretched state (if it stretches) unless description says otherwise. We measure exactly not approximately so keep that in mind when measuring yourself.

Scroll down below for lots of charts for UK & European size equivalents. The charts are Aprox. Not exact. Different designers have different sizes. The best way to go is to compare the measurements of a similar item you already have to the one you see on our site.

This is the way we measure:

Please keep in mind Our Measurments are the items size not yours.

If the waist size says 26" you will need to be a little smaller to fit. How much depends on you & your idea of comfort.

We usually take measurements while the item is laying flat and unstretched.
Blouses, Tops, coats, and Shirts:
1. Arm length is measured from shoulder seam to wrist hem.
2. Bust/chest measured from underarm, across the chest to the other underarm, then measurement is doubled.
3. Length is measured from shoulder to hem, or straight down the back not including collar.
4. Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and then doubled.

5. Back is measured from shoulder seam across to other shoulder seam(see diagram below).

Skirts and Dresses:
1. Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem.

2. Waist is measured across where an average waist falls, then doubled.
3. Skirt length is measured from waistband to hem.
4. Hips are measured across where an average hip falls, then doubled.

Pants:
1. Inseam is measured from crotch down along inside of leg to hem.
2. Waist is measured across natural waist then doubled.
3. Sometimes we measure from the waist, down to the crotch if needed.

Shoes:
Shoes are measured lengthwise across the top of the shoe from the heel to the toe, and the width is measured across the sole at the ball of the foot. Scroll down for size & condition charts.
